MOY Paris was founded by japanese designer Yasco Otomo in 2016.
Yasco Otomo settled in Paris in 2002 after working as a stylist and costume designer in Tokyo for more than 20 years. She has worked with William Forsythe and Josef Nadj as a costume designer, and as a coordinator for Vogue Japan and Elle Japon between 2006 and 2016.
From 2008 till 2018 Yasco’s street-style photographs are a monthly feature on the Vogue Japan website.
The brand name MOY is a combination of letters from Yasco’s surname OTOMO and her initial Y.
Yasco Otomo crafts jewellery from Japanese cotton pearls made from pearl-like coated compressed cotton – her favorite and principal material. Yasco Otomo loves creating big, light jewellery. MOY necklace designs look bulky but are wondrously light.
In the fall of 2024, she had moved her atelier from Paris to Yokohama in Japan, and restart in the spring of 2025.
MOY Paris pieces are meticulously produced by hand in her atelier.

MOY Paris （モイパリ）について
東京でスタイリスト、衣装デザイナーとして20年の経験を経て、2002年からパリ在住を始めた大友靖子が、2016年に立ち上げたアクセサリーブランド。
パリでもスタイリスト、衣装デザイナーとしての活動をベースに、VOGUE やELLE など日本の雑誌のコーディネーターやバイイングアテンドなど、ファッションで日本とフランスをつなぐ仕事へ活動を広げる。10年ほど毎月VOGUE JapanのWebサイトのためにパリジェンヌのストリートスナップを撮るなど、幅広く活動。
そんな中、2015年に日本製のコットンパールという素材に出会い、その軽さ、清楚な美しさをぜひヨーロッパに紹介したいとの熱い思いから生まれたモイパリ。
スタイリスト、衣装デザイナーとして、気に入ったものをまとう時に内側から湧きあがる喜びや、自分らしさを見つけた時に輝くオーラなどを大切にしてきた大友靖子が、 OTOMO YASCO の名前の真ん中の文字 MOY をブランド名にしたのは、自分の真ん中にあって目立つことはなくともずっと大切にしてきた、ものづくりへの思いをきちんと形にしていきたいという想いから。
2024年秋にアトリエをパリから日本の横浜に移し、2025年春から再始動。フォトジェニックで大胆なデザインと大人のための着け心地にこだわり、パリのエスプリを持ち続けて横浜のアトリエで作られている。
